UPDATE on the RUN for the ER…. we are proud to say that we raised over $2,500 for the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation!!

The month of October the Roadhouse is PROUD to be a part of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundations RUN FOR THE ER!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE being part of our Community and we saw this as a great way to give back in a tangible way! $.50 from every guest bill in October will be donated to the Peace Arch Hospital  And Community Health Foundation. October 21st is the Run for your ER event, I will be there (Lise)  and my daughters will be there to participate! ( All 4 of of my daughters were born at Peace Arch Hospital and am so thankful for a great hospital in our Community)… the Roadhouse Bake Shoppe will have a table at the event as well giving samples of our Fall/Winter goodies.. like our gingerbread! … please show your support to our Community and plan for a fun day with your family and feel good about giving back!

Giving back just feels right and it is a fun way to teach our young ones the importance of giving! as one of my regular customers said to me just this very morning, “you can never go wrong being kind” .. a little goes a long way!

Dwayne and Sharon are givers

Sharon and Dwayne, Roadhouse Owners

Sharon and Dwayne, Roadhouse Owners

I have to say that like everything else that Dwayne and Sharon have had their hand in, the foundation is always the same… they are givers. They have a heart for others and live fiercely by the principles they believe in and hold close to their hearts.

A lifetime of experience in owning several types of businesses, opening their doors to lost teenagers and pretty much anyone in need who came to their attention, being givers and living by the teaching of sow time and harvest, they ARE the DNA that operates and motivates the integral part of the Community aspect of the Roadhouse.

From starting a Christian radio station (the first of it’s kind in Europe’s Eastern Block) to hosting Christmas dinners for families with Special Need Children to being Rotarians and even the fun stuff like putting lights on their two 1977 GMC motorhomes and throwing candy to the kids at the Spirit of the Sea Torch Light Parade on White Rock Beach… Dwayne and Sharon are examples to live by and standards I hope I come close to achieving.

We’re about giving back to our Community

We love being a part of our Community. We love being able to help others. I believe we simply… love.

We love being a part of the Spirit of the Sea Torch Light Parade and handing out Salt Water Taffy (which you can buy in our Bake Shoppe next store).

More than just your average Restaurant

Being a fixture in our community and a part of our customers’ everyday lives is why we are so much more than just a business and or your average restaurant.
