How does one say goodbye to a man larger then life,  a man who's personality and personal touches is in every square inch of the Roadhouse Grille?

The Roadhouse Grille, as well as our Community and most definitely his family and friends, lost a great man Feb 16/16. Dwayne was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in July 2015 (exposure from asbestos 40-45 years ago) and was given 1 month to live ... being the fighter that he is he beat those odds and survived until this past month. He truly fought a courageous battle.

Dwayne and Sharon purchased the Roadhouse Grille together Feb 2002 .. together they took a little diner and turned it into what you see today.. a very busy and prosperous niche independent restaurant. Dwayne was not afraid of hard work and was often seen jumping on the garbage bins and hanging from ladders or roofs giving the building just a little shimmy here and there. They loved the community aspect of being involved in the South Surrey/White Rock area and gave to many local charities and started the Youth Talent Search Competition (hosted here at the Roadhouse Grille) wanting to give the local youth a platform and stage and encourage them in their talents.

Dwayne was so many things to so many people mere words do not seem enough to describe him. He was the center of his wife of almost 45 years, world. He was the forever big strong daddy to his 4 daughters. He was the fun generous loving papa/grandpa to his 13 grandchildren and almost 8 great grandchildren (1 is due in April/16). He was encouraging to so many business people. He was the light to so many in the dark. He was a giver to a degree that is rare and precious. He was so very very very loved.
